If you are in doubt that there is nothing to in Musanze besides gorilla tracking, then you are wrong. Agasozi Art Center is open to everyone and often we have visitors joined with us. You can stay in Red Rocks or just visit if you prefer to sleep somewhere else in musanze. This time we were making bracelets. All things made on our workshop that are done by kids along with my paintings are for sale. This way you support local kids.
The latest workshop held in Red Rocks was more of practical nature. The aim of this workshop was to teach children how to recycle old newspapers and other useless paper, turning it into reusable material.
The process of making paper is easy and everybody can make it – if you want to try recycling old newspapers at home, see instructions here. We have used frame method. Since I always update you with pictures, here is how we did it.
If you are in Rwanda, feel free to stop by in our art center where you can join us in participating with my art workshops. If you are an artist, you are also welcome to share your skills with our children. They are eager to learn!
Agasozi Art Center is always busy and creative. This time we were playing with water colors and local children had oppurtunity to discover their creativity through water colors. How did they do it? I would say – very well!!
If you are planning a gorilla track in Musanze and have some time afterwards, you are most welcome to stop by in our centre!
Workshop activity is regular updated also on Flickr – welcome to check out more photos on Agasozi Art Center photo set.
